The CRC‘s members were parts of a regional, national and international disciplinary network, from which the subprojects’ research output benefited greatly. Moreover, the CRC engaged in a series of institutional cooperation agreements supporting the research center’s multiple activities. CRC 933 sought contact with those institutions and research centers that focused either on research on pre-modernity or on materiality and presence. We also sought contact with institutions that had relevant artifacts, such as museums or collections. In all these cases, collaboration meant regular cooperation in the form of joint events or information exchange and knowledge transfer.
